Salary Range: $125,000+ / year DOE

Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
• Develop tax workpapers and supporting schedules according to professional standards
• Analyze financial data including balance sheets and income statements
• Perform tax research and document findings
• Identify and communicate accounting, business, and tax issues or opportunities
• Mentor and support junior team members
• Assist with special projects and client engagements as needed
• Participate in strategic discussions around tax planning and client advisory
• Work closely with partners to build skills for eventual account management and leadership

Senior Tax Accountant Requirements:

• 3–4+ years of public accounting experience in a CPA firm
• CPA or EA license required
• Strong experience with complex business tax returns
• Experience with real estate clients or tax planning a plus
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
• Excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset
• Technologically savvy and comfortable in a paperless environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus
• Based in Southern California is preferred
