You’ll prepare estimates and bids, perform quantity takeoffs, review plans and specifications, manage subcontractor pricing, develop project budgets, and help lead awarded projects through scheduling, cost control, change orders, and closeout. The ideal candidate is a hands-on commercial construction professional who can confidently estimate a project, understand how it gets built, and thrive with the autonomy and visibility that come with a small, close-knit team.
Salary: $75,000- $125,000/ Year + Bonus DOE
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates, bids, and proposals for commercial construction and renovation projects ranging from $250K to $50M
- Perform quantity takeoffs, develop accurate project pricing, and solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids
- Transition awarded projects from estimating into construction, managing budgets, schedules, and cost controls throughout
- Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and trades to manage project communications and resolve issues
- Review change orders, monitor project progress and profitability, and ensure timelines are met
- Visit local job sites as needed to maintain project oversight and client relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors — most work comes from repeat clients
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial construction estimating and/or project management experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Hands-on experience with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bids, and project budgeting
- Solid understanding of construction costs, materials, and labor in a commercial environment
- Experience with estimating, scheduling, or project management software; proficiency in Microsoft Word
- High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus
- General contractor background and/or relevant field experience strongly preferred
Benefits:
- Year-end bonus opportunity
- Health Insurance Reimbursement
- PTO and Sick Days + Paid Federal Holidays
- Company vehicle available for jobsite visits and/or mileage reimbursement
- Stable, long-term opportunity with local projects
If you’re a commercial construction pro who can estimate with precision, manage with confidence, and wants to plant roots somewhere your work truly matters —we want to hear from you. Apply today and build something that lasts.
