A well-established custom furniture manufacturer in Allentown, Pennsylvania is seeking a hands-on Finishing Room Foreman to join its production team. Finishing Room Foreman Responsibilities:

• Manage daily finishing operations, ensuring high-quality standards, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules
• Oversee custom mixing and precise matching of stains, toners, and glazes to meet design and client specifications
• Lead preparation and approval of finish samples, maintaining a detailed catalog for consistency across production
• Direct staining, shading, and spray lacquer applications, monitoring proper drying times and finish uniformity
• Supervise, train, and mentor a diverse team of finishers and spray booth operators to maintain safety and quality
• Coordinate finishing department workflow with production and project management to meet shipping deadlines
• Conduct thorough quality inspections on finished furniture to identify defects and implement corrective actions
• Ensure regular maintenance and cleaning of spray booths, equipment, and ventilation systems per OSHA standards
• Manage inventory levels of finishing materials and supplies, recommending process improvements for efficiency

Finishing Room Foreman Requirements:

• 3+ years of wood finishing experience in a custom or high-end furniture environment
• Proficient in color mixing, shading, staining, and HVLP spray application techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to visually match tones and finishes
• Leadership experience including team oversight, workflow management, and training
• Knowledge of wood substrate behaviors, sanding processes, and finish durability standards
• Comfortable in a factory setting with a diverse team and fast-moving priorities
• Bilingual in Spanish and OSHA certification preferred
