Position Title: Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate
Salary Range: $170,000–$220,000 / Year, DOE
Take ownership of sophisticated employment matters while building your career alongside attorneys who are invested in your development. This is an opportunity for a talented litigation associate to manage employment cases from inception through resolution, work directly with clients, and gain meaningful experience across discovery, depositions, motion practice, and mediation. You’ll also advise employers on day-to-day workplace challenges, policies, handbooks and training while working with multiple partners across a nationally recognized labor and employment practice. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-directed attorney with strong litigation fundamentals, exceptional writing and analytical skills, and the confidence to take ownership of their work while collaborating effectively with a team.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and mediations
- Draft and respond to discovery requests, initial pleadings and substantive motions
- Take and defend depositions and argue motions as opportunities arise
- Counsel clients on day-to-day challenges involving employment laws and workplace matters
- Draft and revise employee handbooks, policies, and other employment-related materials
- Support client training and other proactive employment law initiatives
- Collaborate with multiple partners across a variety of cases and actively pursue matters that align with your interests and professional goals
Requirements
- 3–6 years of litigation experience
- Employment litigation experience strongly preferred
- Active admission to the applicable state bar
- Demonstrated experience drafting and responding to discovery, pleadings, and motions
- Experience taking and defending depositions with the ability to confidently handle substantive litigation responsibilities
- Excellent academic credentials with strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively
