This is an opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to step into a high-impact role where operational excellence will directly fuel the company’s next stage of growth. The Director of Operations will lead production, supply chain, logistics, inventory, and quality across a fast-paced, multi-line manufacturing facility while building the processes, systems, and accountability needed to scale. From improving throughput and reducing downtime to implementing technology and developing frontline leaders, this person will have the authority to identify what needs to change and the responsibility to make it happen. The ideal candidate is a resilient, data-driven manufacturing leader who can command a room without overpowering it, earn trust across a diverse workforce and balance big-picture strategy with hands-on problem-solving on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize day-to-day production, shipping and receiving, inventory, logistics and quality operations across a high-volume, multi-line manufacturing facility
  • Manage, coach and develop three operational leads across production, shipping and receiving and general warehouse operations while creating clear expectations and accountability
  • Establish and track KPIs including throughput, OEE, downtime, waste and cost per unit to identify bottlenecks and drive data-backed operational decisions
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma principles to increase efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen overall production performance
  • Implement scalable processes, automation, technology and manufacturing systems that modernize operations and support future growth
  • Troubleshoot daily operational challenges while partnering with executive leadership, finance and sales to resolve larger issues and align capacity with business objectives
  • Lead change management across the facility by helping employees understand, adopt, and take ownership of new processes, systems, and ways of working

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, production or industrial operations with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role
  • Proven success leading teams through operational transformation, process improvement and production scaling within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen or Six Sigma methodologies with the ability to translate principles into measurable results
  • Highly analytical and data-driven approach with demonstrated experience building KPIs, interpreting operational data and using metrics to guide decisions
  • Strong technology aptitude with experience using ERP or manufacturing management systems and an interest in leveraging automation and AI to improve operations
  • Confident, adaptable and hands-on leadership style with the ability to hold teams accountable, earn buy-in and successfully lead employees through change
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with exceptional equivalent manufacturing leadership experience considered

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $160,000–$180,000 plus a discretionary year-end bonus based on individual KPIs and company performance
  • Medical coverage, Dental coverage, and Employer-provided life insurance coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Accrued vacation time plus seven paid holidays
  • Free lunch provided five days a week

If you are the kind of manufacturing leader who sees operational challenges as opportunities, knows how to turn data into action and can bring people with you through meaningful change, apply today and help build the operation that will power this company’s next chapter.
