Job Description
A leading Buffalo-based commercial print and mail company is seeking a driven and client-focused Commercial Print Sales Account Executive to join its dynamic and collaborative team. This role is ideal for a seasoned B2B sales professional with a passion for building relationships, delivering consultative solutions, and growing accounts in a fast-evolving, innovative print environment. Candidates should be energetic, entrepreneurial, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
Salary Range: $60,000 – $90,000 / year DOE
Commercial Print Sales Account Executive Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a pipeline of new business through prospecting, networking, and outbound outreach
- Cultivate long-term relationships with clients through a consultative sales approach
- Present and sell Zenger’s full range of printing, mailing, and marketing solutions tailored to client needs
- Collaborate with internal teams on proposals, pricing, and contracts to close profitable deals
- Meet with clients in person regularly; travel as needed for national accounts
- Navigate seasonal trends and postage rate changes to guide client strategy effectively
- Utilize CRM, Microsoft 365, and production software to track activities and manage opportunities
Commercial Print Sales Account Executive Requirements:
- Must reside in Western NY, ideally Buffalo, Rochester, or as far east as Saratoga
- Minimum 1–2 years of commercial print sales experience or 4+ years in B2B sales, marketing, packaging, or custom products preferred
- Demonstrated success in both small and large account development
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Disciplined approach to assignment management and follow-through
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and high work ethic
- Must have a confident, client-facing demeanor and a resilient sales mentality
- Direct Mail or Print industry knowledge is a plus
- Experience working with agencies, higher education, or marketing departments is preferred
- Ability to consult on print specs such as stock, format, color, and finishing options is a plus
