Job Description
A dynamic and client-focused employee benefits brokerage is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Executive to join its close-knit team in Lafayette, CO. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in health insurance who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Account Executive will play a key role in client support, data management, benefits administration, and process improvement across various platforms and carriers. The right candidate will be a friendly, organized professional with a strong understanding of group benefits and a knack for managing multiple tasks with precision and poise.
Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 / year DOE
Account Executive Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with login, billing, and eligibility concerns
- Respond to support emails and phone inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Help manage open enrollment tasks via platforms like Ease and Employee Navigator
- Enter, manage, and validate employee eligibility in client databases and carrier systems
- Prepare benefit documents and compliance materials
- Assist with invoice reconciliation and track enrollment progress
- Schedule and coordinate meetings via Zoom or Microsoft Teams
- Maintain and organize client records and resource folders
- Review and format client communications, including graphic insertion
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in benefit setups and reporting
- Assist with ACA, COBRA, FSA, HSA, and other compliance-related duties
- Identify and recommend areas for process improvement
Account Executive Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in the health insurance industry
- High school diploma required; some college preferred
- Strong understanding of health insurance terminology
- Familiarity with Colorado-based carriers
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Zoom or Microsoft Teams
- Experience with benefits platforms like Ease or Employee Navigator is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a small-team setting
