A fast-growing AI-powered SaaS platform for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive top-of-funnel growth, manage the full sales cycle, and help shape the future of sales strategy at a high-growth startup. You’ll be responsible for prospecting new clients, engaging leads, and collaborating directly with leadership to build and refine the company’s go-to-market approach. This is an ideal opportunity for a results-driven, agile, and client-focused sales professional with deep SaaS experience and a passion for innovation in the built environment.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Drive the full sales cycle from outreach to close, managing relationships with architects and building product manufacturers
  • Source, qualify, and follow up with inbound and outbound leads using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and HubSpot
  • Build trusted partnerships with clients, offering insights on how the company’s platform can solve key design and specification challenges
  • Collaborate with the executive team to refine pitch messaging, pricing models, and go-to-market strategy
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, KPIs, and opportunity data in HubSpot
  • Attend 3–5 national sales and marketing events annually to represent the company and grow market presence

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • 5+ years of business development or SaaS sales experience, preferably B2B
  • Proven hunter mentality with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in the AEC industry or a strong interest in the built environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Expertise in HubSpot, CRM optimization, automation, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and subscription models
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Based in Massachusetts is preferred or willing to relocate; remote work allowed with periodic travel
  • Familiarity with architecture, construction, or engineering workflows is a plus
  • Experience selling pilot programs and scaling SaaS adoption post-POC is preferred
  • Comfort working in a startup or unstructured environment with evolving processes
