Job Description
A well-established manufacturing company headquartered in Westwood, MA is seeking an IT Security Engineer to join its close-knit, collaborative IT team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of cybersecurity policies across all business units and subsidiaries. The IT Security Engineer will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to advance cloud migration efforts, manage vulnerabilities, and strengthen infrastructure security. This is a high-impact position ideal for a cloud security professional who thrives in a lean environment, brings strong technical expertise, and values autonomy, clear communication, and results-driven execution.
IT Security Engineer Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage daily security alerts and incidents via Arctic Wolf
- Develop and enforce company-wide security policies and procedures
- Lead third-party penetration testing efforts annually and act on findings
- Guide Azure/O365 architecture, security, and integration with internal systems
- Implement identity protection, conditional access, MDM/MAM, DLP, and threat protection within Microsoft 365
- Manage cloud infrastructure and services including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS security layers
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure secure system configurations across hybrid environments
- Deliver strategic security recommendations and drive adoption of best practices across departments
IT Security Engineer Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud security and identity management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field required
- CISSP certification required
- Strong background with Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and Azure AD Connect
- Demonstrated expertise in federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID), IDaaS platforms (Azure AD, Okta), and vulnerability management tools
- Proven experience implementing Microsoft 365 security technologies across identity, device, data, and threat protection layers
- Familiarity with Oracle OCI, reverse proxy solutions (e.g. Azure App Proxy, Citrix, ZScaler) is a plus
