Position Title: Associate Planner

Salary: $95,000-$125,000 annually / DOE

We are seeking an experienced Associate Planner to join our collaborative team of transportation planning and traffic engineering professionals. In this role, you’ll lead and support a variety of impactful public and private sector projects, conducting transportation, parking, and mobility analyses, developing innovative planning strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver creative, data-driven solutions that improve the way people move.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support transportation planning projects for public and private sector clients.
  • Conduct transportation, parking, and mobility analyses to inform planning recommendations.
  • Develop transportation demand management (TDM) strategies and parking management plans.
  • Assist in planning and evaluating Mobility Hubs and multimodal transportation initiatives.
  • Prepare technical reports, planning studies, presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Create analytical maps and high-quality exhibits using ArcGIS.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop innovative transportation solutions.
  • Manage project tasks, schedules, and budgets while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Communicate project findings effectively with clients, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Stay informed on transportation planning best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning or a related field with an emphasis in transportation.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in transportation planning or a related field.
  • Experience using GIS, including ArcGIS for analysis and exhibit preparation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong understanding of parking management, parking policy, and transportation demand management (TDM) principles.
  • Familiarity with industry resources such as ULI Shared Parking, ITE Parking Generation, and CAPCOA guidance.
  • Experience planning for Mobility Hubs is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver projects within budget, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
