A well-established construction company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Accountant to join its dynamic accounting team in Dallas, TX. This role will be responsible for full-cycle property accounting, monthly reporting, bank reconciliations, and compliance tasks, ensuring financial accuracy for multiple properties. Working closely with the Controller and project teams, the Property Accountant plays a critical part in maintaining strong financial controls and delivering timely reporting. Property Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Close the month-end books for assigned properties/entities
• Post and reconcile journal entries; investigate variances and prepare necessary adjustments
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations
• Maintain accurate general ledgers and support audit readiness
• Ensure compliance with partner and lender agreements
• Prepare financial packages and compliance reports for stakeholders
• Collaborate with team members and departments to resolve accounting-related inquiries
• Cross-train in various accounting functions to support departmental needs

Property Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 4–7 years of full-cycle accounting experience
• RealPage software experience is a must
• Strong Excel skills
• Prior experience in property or real estate accounting preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Must be willing to work onsite
