Job Description

A global investment management firm is seeking a Structured Products Analyst/Portfolio Manager to join its New York team and support the management of a structured products portfolio. This position is ideal for a highly analytical investment professional with a strong grasp of structured credit products and a passion for data-driven portfolio management.

The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker with strong modeling skills and market insight, capable of anticipating risk and prepayment behavior across agency and non-agency structured assets.

Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 / year DOE

Structured Products Analyst/Portfolio Manager Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor structured product portfolios
  • Assess prepayment, default risk, and cash flow behaviors
  • Prepare quantitative models to support investment decisions and scenario analysis
  • Evaluate bonds and identify alpha-generating opportunities
  • Manage PnL, duration risk, and asset allocation strategy
  • Write daily commentary and present weekly updates in team meetings
  • Track market news, dealer interactions, and macroeconomic changes relevant to structured credit
  • Develop tools to improve portfolio monitoring and decision-making

Structured Products Analyst/Portfolio Manager Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in structured products, credit analysis, or portfolio management
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong quantitative modeling experience
  • Solid understanding of structured products
  • Ability to communicate market risks and portfolio positions clearly and concisely
  • Experience in risk-taking or trading roles is a plus
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and other investment analytics tools
  • Exposure to both agency and non-agency structures is preferred
