A nationally recognized law firm with deep expertise in insurance litigation is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their expanding national insurance litigation practice in Hartford, WI. This role offers autonomy, growth, and exposure to complex subrogation and defense matters involving damages from $500 to $5 million. You’ll manage a more focused docket of 40–50 actively litigated files, work closely with clients and partners, and play a critical role in business development. If desired, this role also has a clear path to partnership.

They are seeking an experienced insurance litigator—someone with at least 5 years in subrogation, defense, or related litigation who is confident handling high-value cases independently.

Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

• Manage a docket of 40–50 complex litigated insurance cases
• Handle cases from inception to resolution, including trials if needed
• Conduct depositions, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances
• Participate in firm seminars, speaking engagements, and marketing
• Collaborate with junior attorneys and contribute to firm growth
• Meet monthly billable target of 155 hours

Litigation Attorney Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Insurance Subrogation, Workers Comp, Premises Liability, or related litigation
• Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin
• Trial, deposition, and hearing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ProLaw or similar legal case management systems
• Book of business is a plus, but not required
• Well-organized
