A boutique litigation firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 5-7 years of experience to join their growing team in Los Angeles. In this role, you will work directly with the founding partner on complex commercial litigation cases involving sports professionals and corporate matters. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of their work, has excellent research and writing skills, and aspires to conduct trials in the future.

Salary Range: $140,000 – $200,000 / year DOE

Associate Attorney Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of complex commercial litigation matters
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
• Handle depositions and prepare for court appearances
• Meet deadline-driven assignments and adapt to shifting priorities
• Respond promptly to client and partner communications
• Assist with summary motions and filings
• Maintain 1700-1750 billable hours annually
• Attend in-person meetings for depositions and occasional court appearances
• Take initiative to fill gaps and assist team members when needed

Associate Attorney Requirements:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
• 5-7 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably complex business litigation
• Experience in either plaintiff or defense side litigation
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Adaptability to handle urgent deadlines and shifting priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment
