Job Description
A home to beloved Korean BBQ brands is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead their HR function across a growing multi-state restaurant group. This role is responsible for overseeing all HR operations including employee relations, recruiting, compliance, payroll oversight, benefits administration, SOP updates, and HR strategy. You’ll manage and mentor a small HR team and collaborate closely with leadership to ensure a positive employee experience and operational excellence.

Salary: $150,000 / year DOE
Director of Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all HR operations for employees across multiple restaurant locations
- Supervise and develop the Senior HR Manager and HR Administrator
- Oversee payroll processing and tip tracking in coordination with Paycom
- Conduct initial candidate screenings, coordinate interviews, and manage onboarding/offboarding
- Monitor and track key HR metrics
- Ensure compliance with labor laws across multiple states and update SOPs/handbooks as needed
- Manage benefits administration and renewals with external brokers
- Collaborate with legal counsel and leadership on investigations, legal matters, and sensitive employee issues
- Participate in senior leadership meetings and contribute to company-wide initiatives
- Occasionally visit restaurant locations to support employee relations and engagement
Director of Human Resources Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail industries required
- Proven experience in multi-unit and multi-state HR environments
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, labor laws, and payroll/tip tracking
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and professional presentation tools
- Experience with Paycom, Toast, or similar HRIS/POS platforms preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; HR certification required if no degree
- Bilingual in Spanish or Korean is a plus
- Ability to work onsite full-time, Monday–Friday
