A thriving construction company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing civil construction team. This role will focus on estimating site development and utility installation projects across various states, primarily in the southern U.S. The Estimator will work closely with the Senior Estimator and COO to generate accurate job estimates, perform takeoffs using Bluebeam and Carlson, and collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive and complete bids.

Estimator Responsibilities:

• Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and bid documents to develop accurate estimates
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, equipment, and materials using Bluebeam and Carlson
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and vendors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and industry partners
• Collaborate with Project Management and Engineering teams to address pre-construction questions
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, trends, and practices
• Support various estimating tasks as needed in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment

Estimator Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in the heavy construction industry
• Proven experience with takeoffs in civil construction, earthwork, utilities, or highway projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficient in Bluebeam; experience with Carlson and/or HCSS HeavyBid is preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Resilience under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday
