Job Description

A trusted independent insurance agency is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive to join its growing team. In this client-facing role, you’ll handle a book of clients, providing end-to-end service including renewals, policy changes, client communications, claims assistance, and documentation. Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 / year DOE

Commercial Lines Account Executive Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service a book of commercial lines clients with average account premiums
  • Provide end-to-end service for assigned accounts, including renewals, endorsements, certificates, and coverage updates
  • Document all communications, activities, and updates in AMS360
  • Handle day-to-day customer inquiries and service requests; communicate with underwriters and insurance carriers
  • Support clients with the claims process by guiding them through filing and following up with adjusters
  • Identify opportunities to round out mono-line accounts by offering additional coverage lines
  • Meet regularly with management to discuss account needs, process improvements, and issue escalations
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, customer service best practices, and coverage updates
  •  Collaborate closely with Producers to ensure seamless account management and high retention

Commercial Lines Account Executive Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial lines experience in an insurance agency setting
  • Must hold an active NY State Property & Casualty license
  • Prior experience managing direct client communication
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with AMS360 is a plus
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently after training
  • Professional, team-oriented, and client-focused personality
