Job Description

A family-run HVAC construction company with over five decades of proven success is looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator/Project Manager to join their team in Greenville, SC. This role will focus primarily on estimating multi-family new construction HVAC projects, with the opportunity to manage awarded jobs from start to finish. Ideal candidates are comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-heavy office setting, and thrive on digging into plans, coordinating with vendors, and delivering accurate, competitive bids.

They’re looking for someone who is proactive, precise, and ready to grow within a company that values long-term commitment and internal advancement.

HVAC Estimator/Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications for multi-family HVAC construction projects
  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates including material, labor, and subcontractor pricing
  • Coordinate and compare quotes from suppliers and vendors
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, general contractors, and internal project stakeholders
  • Manage projects post-award, including tracking progress and overseeing execution
  • Participate in design/build efforts and identify value-engineering opportunities
  • Handle multiple bids concurrently, balancing quality with quick turnaround
  • Support and mentor junior team members as the company continues to grow

HVAC Estimator/Project Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC construction estimating
  • Multi-family new construction experience is a must
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical plan sets
  • Experience managing HVAC construction projects a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong phone presence and ability to ask questions and read between the lines
  • Comfortable working 100% onsite in an office setting
  • Proficient with takeoff tools
  • Highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail
