Senior Estimator
Job Description
A well-established electrical subcontractor is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team in Hawthorne, NY. You ll be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for a variety of electrical projects, working closely with the team, coordinating with vendors, and attending scope meetings with General Contractors. You might also step in to help manage smaller projects when needed, showing your adaptability and leadership.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 / year DOE
Senior Estimator Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in electrical contracting, with a strong background in estimating
- Proficiency in Accubid for estimating (preferred)
- Ability to manage the full estimating process independently, from takeoffs to final bid submission
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, vendors, and clients
- Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of taking on additional responsibilities as needed
Senior Estimator Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for electrical contracting projects
- Collaborate with team members to perform takeoffs and develop accurate project bids
- Engage with vendors to obtain pricing and participate in scope meetings with General Contractors
- Assist in managing smaller projects when needed, taking on Project Management duties
- Utilize Accubid for estimating, along with cloud-based tools like Excel and ProCore, depending on the General Contractor s requirements
- Ensure that all project documentation is organized and accessible through digital tools
