Remote Employee Benefits Account Manager
Job Description
A leading player in the insurance industry is seeking a Remote Employee Benefits Account Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of employee benefits clients from the comfort of your home! This is a fully remote position for candidates that live in the PST time zone, with a preference for Southern California residents to facilitate occasional in-person client meetings. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with at least 5 years of experience in employee benefits who can help strategize and shape the Employee Benefits department and wants the freedom and flexibility of working from home. Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage ERP system with client and employee benefits information
- Provide daily servicing for the employee benefits book of business
- Prepare for renewals during the fourth quarter, including open enrollment meetings
- Process client requests via phone calls and emails, ensuring smooth benefits administration
- Handle 12-15 Employee Benefits clients
- Cross-sell benefits to commercial clients
- Maintain knowledge of FMLA, leaves of absence, COBRA, and benefits eligibility
- Occasional travel to SoCal for client meetings (1-2 times per year)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Employee Benefits
- CA Life and Health Insurance license
- Experience with larger accounts (300-500+ employees)
- Strong communication skills and client-facing personality
- Proficiency in grammar and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and PST hours regardless of location
