Job Description
A prestigious law firm in downtown Newark, NJ, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team! If you have at least 2 years of experience in a legal setting, whether in defense or plaintiff work, and you're skilled in e-filing and e-discovery, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You'll assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings, gaining hands-on experience in a small firm where your contributions truly matter.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 / year DOE
Paralegal Requirements:
- 2-5 years of paralegal experience in a legal setting (defense or plaintiff experience)
- High school diploma is required
- Paralegal certification is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Experience with e-filing and e-discovery is highly beneficial
- Federal court experience is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals
Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings
- Perform e-filing tasks, particularly in federal courts
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Manage and organize documents for e-discovery processes
- Provide primary support to two partners, ensuring all documentation and case files are carefully maintained
