Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
A leading manufacturer of industrial hydro-excavation and sewer-cleaning equipment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team! The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience in industrial manufacturing, hydraulics, and electrical components. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work on-site and collaborate closely with the team in Fort Morgan, CO.
Pay Range: $55,000 - $85,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Work with engineers and personnel to implement procedures, resolve malfunctions, and provide technical info
- Analyze customer proposals, specs, manuals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements
- Design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes
- Specify system components, develop structural designs, and oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
- Investigate equipment failures, provide feedback to design engineers, and conduct research on equipment, components, and systems
- Develop and test alternate designs and recommend modifications to eliminate malfunctions
- Write performance requirements and maintain manufacturing bill of materials in MRP program
Requirements:
- System design experience in manufacturing, especially with hydraulics, pneumatic, and electrical components
- Proficient in SolidWorks and CAD tools, and experience with SAP (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Good understanding of engineering concepts, DFM practices, manufacturing tools, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports
- Exceptional technical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and detail-oriented mindset
- Self-motivated with the desire to see projects through from design to production
