Job Description
A busy law firm in Los Angeles, CA is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant! They are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of experience, preferably with knowledge of family law to support a team of fast-paced attorneys. Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to all attorneys
- Manage high volumes of casework, including calendaring, client communications, and legal document preparation
- Complete judicial council forms and assist with pleadings and document organization
- Sub-file evidence, manage time sheets, and handle proof of service
- Participate in project-based tasks and maintain consistent team communication
- Assist in managing a caseload of approximately 150 cases across the firm
Legal Assistant Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law
- Litigation experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Paralegal certificate is a plus
- Trustworthy, empathetic, and confident in their abilities
- Ability to multiple priorities and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
