Fire Alarm/Sprinkler Technician
Job Description
A leading construction company that specializes in fire protection services in the Chicago suburban area is actively a Fire Alarm/Sprinkler Technician to join their vibrant and energetic team! This technical role consists of primarily all fieldwork, where you will work throughout the suburban areas of Chicago to test and maintain fire alarm and sprinkler systems for property management companies and large commercial properties. The team is looking for individuals who are NICET III certified, with at least 5 years of experience working in fire protection. The position is based out of Aurora, IL and comes with a company vehicle, iPad, iPhone, gas card, full benefits, ample time off, growth opportunities and more! Pay Range: $22 - $50/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler systems
- Collaborate with property management companies and industrial clients
- Perform fieldwork with minimal office time required
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, including NICET certification requirements
- Maintain and provide clear documentation of work performed
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with fire protection systems
Requirements:
- NICET II certification is required, NICET III certification is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in fire protection
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
