Job Description
A distinguished law firm in Albuquerque, NM is searching for a talented Associate Attorney to join their team! They are looking for candidates with specific experience in medical malpractice defense, as well as environmental law, and/or oil and gas regulatory work to focus on a more complex caseload with fewer cases. Associate Attorney Requirements:
- 1-10 years of legal experience in medical malpractice defense
- Experience in environmental law or oil and gas regulatory work is preferred
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a reputable law school
- Must be barred in the state of New Mexico
- Demonstrated ability to handle a demanding case load with fewer, more complex cases
- Strong work ethic and dedication to excellence
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and draft legal documents
- Manage discovery processes and draft motions
- Attend client meetings and provide regular updates on case progress
- Gradually take on more complex cases, managing them from initiation to resolution
- Actively participate in court proceedings and advocate on behalf of clients
- Train and grow under the guidance of experienced partners
